Flying With Children from Terminal 5

Here are some useful tips when flying with children from Terminal 5:

Always change your child’s nappy just before boarding the plane.

Even if your baby isn’t due a feed try giving them some milk or water to drink upon take-off.  The constant swallowing will help their ears ‘pop’ and prevent their ears from hurting.  For smaller children, get them to eat some snacks.

If travelling on your own with twins, do be aware that most airlines only allow an adult to travel with one child under 6 months so do check before travel.

Do remember that your children, unless paying a full fare, are not allocated any additional luggage allowance.

If you are in the middle of feeding your baby or child when your in-flight meal arrives don’t miss out, simply ask the Air Hostess to bring it back in a short while.
